The National Council for Women recently published a book entitled “The Harvest of the National Council for Women in 10 Years 2014-2023,” which reviews the Council’s efforts to empower women socially, economically, and politically and enhance their leadership roles in all fields.

In a Sunday statement, the Council stated that the book reveals over 50 presidential assignments issued to the government and the National Council for Women to empower Egyptian women.

The book highlights the most prominent indicators monitored through the Egyptian Women’s Observatory, which was established in 2017. Its purpose is to follow up on the progress made in the National Strategy for Women’s Empowerment 2030 and the Law Regulating the Work of the National Council for Women No. 30 of 2018 and its work mechanisms.

This volume also clarifies the strategic framework for empowering Egyptian women, which includes Egypt’s Vision 2030, the National Strategy for Women’s Empowerment 2030, and the National Human Rights Strategy in Egypt.

It further underscores the initiatives for investing in women and girls, “Dwi Ya Noura,” the most prominent international efforts of the National Council for Women, and the Council’s role in following up on constitutional entitlements and women’s participation in them.

Moreover, the book reviews the laws that were issued in favor of women, the draft laws and legislative proposals prepared by the Council or on which opinions were expressed, and the decisions and regulations that were issued in favor of women, as well as the role of the Council in enhancing services for women in new residential neighborhoods (decent housing) and protecting women from all forms of violence directed against her, and the awareness-raising efforts of the Council through various campaigns.
