Egyptian-Lebanese Film to Participate in Tribeca Festival

The plot is centered around Arze, who drags her rebellious son on an adventurous journey across Beirut, navigating the city’s web of sectarianism with wit and courage while revealing a long-overdue family secret to her son, according to the “Egypt Today” website.

The film illuminates the resilience and strength of women like Arze, who navigate challenging circumstances with grace and determination.

The film showcases Beirut’s beauty and explores themes of family, resilience, and empowerment.

Arze is an Ambient Light production film starring Diamond Abou Abboud, Betty Taoutel, Bilal Al Hamwi, and Katy Younes. Ali El Arabi executive produced it. 

It was written and produced by Sam Faisal Shaib and Louay Khraish and directed by Mira Shaib.

The film was premiered at the prestigious 14th Beijing International Film Festival.

It was the only Arabic film featured in the “Forward Future” section.
