The upcoming festival, scheduled from April 20 to 25, 2024, will showcase 76 films from different parts of the world. Our Ministry is delighted to participate in the event with a series of developmental films for the Awareness for Community Development program. In addition, we will showcase an array of heritage products and works at our home exhibition. We are looking forward to presenting our contributions and adding value to the festival.

The Minister of Social Solidarity has emphasized the unifying power of art, which transcends sex, language, and color, and influences the character development of individuals, regardless of their nationality. Art, particularly through cinema and drama, is not only a form of entertainment but also a soft power that contributes to social and cultural creativity. It conveys messages that address various societal issues and fosters a natural and indirect interactive process that reintroduces these issues back into society’s bloodstream.

The Ministry of Social Solidarity is tasked with addressing a range of social issues including poverty, social inequality, the welfare of peasants, education, social reform, the economy, the interests of workers and farmers, politics, the citizen’s relationship with the State, the family, women’s issues, drug abuse, disease, and crime. It is important to note that films such as “2oreed 7alan ” and “3afwan ayoha al qanoon” which address women’s issues, have had a lasting impact on the public consciousness, and are an integral part of the female experience. We extend our greetings to the Latino women who are a pillar of the community.
