PSA, the Professional Squash Association, announced the international ranking for the month of April 2024. The ranking for men’s squash included five Egyptian players who showcased their talent and skill on the court.
The top spot in the ranking was held by Ali Farag, who has been consistently maintaining his position for the last 44 weeks and has now made it to the 202nd week in his career. Mostafa Asal, another Egyptian player, secured the fourth spot in the ranking. Karim Abdel Gawad climbed up the ladder to reach the fifth position, while Mazen Hesham came in at sixth, and Tarek Mo’men took the eighth spot.
Moving to the women’s category, the international ranking for April 2024 listed five Egyptian squash players who have made their country proud. Nour El Sherbiny, the Egyptian squash player, grabbed the top spot in the ranking for the first week of April 2024 and has held on to it for 31 consecutive weeks. She has been a dominant force in the game for 241 weeks in her career. Hania El Hammamy, another Egyptian squash player, secured the second position in the ranking, while Nouran Gohar came in at third.
Apart from these players, Nour El Tayeb, another Egyptian squash player, improved her position to reach the fifth spot in the ranking. Rawan Al Arabi, yet another Egyptian squash player, made it to the top 10 list, proving the dominance of Egyptian players in the game of squash. These rankings are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and skill of these players and their contribution to the sport.
