Palm Hills announced the signing of world squash champion Nour El Sherbini, who is currently ranked world No. 2, to join Palm Hills and the Palm Hills Sports Club. The move comes as part of the club’s strategy to attract top international players and strengthen its sports system, contributing to the development of a new generation of athletes, while also enhancing the team’s strength in the coming period.
The announcement came on the sidelines of the launch of the CIB and Palm Hills Professional Squash World Championship 2025–2026, which is being held from May 8 to May 16 at the “At The Hills Crown Extension” courts in Palm Hills, 6th of October City. The tournament features total prize money of $1.3 million and includes top squash players from more than 50 countries, reflecting the company’s vision to establish Palm Hills Sports Club as one of the leading global sports venues for squash.
This edition is considered the largest in the tournament’s history, with the participation of 128 male and female players. Palm Hills aims through this championship to provide a platform for discovering and developing promising talent, supporting their ambitions to qualify for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games and compete for gold medals.
