Cabinet: New Republic promotes citizenship, equality
The Cabinet media center said citizenship and equality rights are bedrock of the new republic mechanism and this was adopted in all walks of life over the past eight years.
This is meant to magnify humanitarian values of non-discrimination, multilateral culture, mutual coexistence and women empowerment.
This came in an info-graphic published by the cabinet media center on Wednesday.
The report reviewed the positive change in the state vision with regard to the citizenship file in Egypt.
Meanwhile, Johnnie Moore, Commissioner of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) said – according to the report – that President Abdel Fattah El sisi is deeply interested in freedoms of religion issues.
The report referred to Egypt’s advancement on the gender equality indices, adding that the human resource report in Egypt issued by the United Nations highlighted that women empowerment forms the basis for comprehensive and balanced development.
The reported added that the World Bank extolled Egypt’s launch of the first time of the national strategies for women empowerment in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Meanwhile, the report noted that US State Secretary Antony Blinken hailed Egypt’s launch of the national strategy for human rights.
The report added that Egypt was the first African and Middle East state to launch “gender gap accelerator” action plan.
The report also referred to increasing women representation in the parliamentary and judicial domains.
The report noted that women unemployment rate decreased by 5.4 percent to become 19.1 percent in the third quarter of 2022.
