Sisi orders gov’t to hold Ahlan Ramadan exhibitions earlier: Supply Ministry
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi instructed the bodies concerned to start “Ahlan Ramadan” exhibitions as of early this month, earlier than scheduled, Spokesman for the Supply Ministry Ahmed Kamal told local media on Wednesday 4/1/2023.
During a phone interview with TeN satellite TV channel, Kamal said the ministry is keen on organizing the annual exhibitions nationwide to offer foodstuffs at up to 30 per cent discounted rates.
The exhibitions have already kicked off in Sharkia, Damietta, Menoufiya, North Sinai, and South Sinai, the spokesman said, noting they are seeing a massive turnout.
An exhibition will be opened in Qaliubiya on Thursday, Kamal pointed out.
He said supermarket chains nationwide will also have special sections for “Ahlan Ramadan” exhibitions, held annually ahead of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, to start in late March.
