Egyptian actress Menna Shalaby will be honored at the 40th edition of the Alexandria International Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries opening ceremony, which will be held from October 1 to 5.

The festival, headed by film critic Amir Abaza, is scheduled to take place in Alexandria.

Shalaby will be recognized for her artistic achievements and long career in the world of cinema and art.

The festival, an annual event held in Alexandria, Egypt, aims to promote film culture and highlight her progress in versatile film art.

Additionally, it seeks to strengthen relations among filmmakers worldwide, with a particular focus on Mediterranean countries.

Known for her unique charisma and remarkable talent, the actress developed a passion for acting at a young age, likely influenced by her mother’s fame in the industry.

She made her film debut in 2001 in Al Saher (The Magician) alongside Mahmoud Abdel Aziz and later appeared alongside the prominent actress Layla Elwy in the 2004 film Baheb El Seema.

Since then, she has worked with renowned directors and actors, including Youssef Chahine, Ahmed Abdallah, and Yousry Nasrallah.

Minna is currently filming for a highly anticipated movie adaptation of Mirna El Helbawi’s acclaimed novel “Kundalini,” directed by Mohamed Salama.

The film, which will start filming in Egypt and India in the upcoming months, promises to bring this compelling story to life on the big screen.
