Egypt’s modern history will enter a new chapter tomorrow, December 18, after the results of the 2024 presidential election are announced. The country will have a new president.
The Honorary President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) and Deputy Speaker of the Egyptian Parliament, Mohamed Abou El-Enein, presided over the committee.
The committee went to numerous polling places across several governorates. It stated that the turnout and the sight of long lines of people in front of polling places was a source of pride and a witness to Egypt’s electoral success, as well as the youth and women of my nation who traveled from all over the country to cast their ballots for president.
The Egyptian people looked delightful and civilized during these elections, held in a fantastic democratic environment.
