Al Jazeera Arts Center Launches “Hawadit Mansooga men Hareer” Exhibition by Artist Ikram Omar

Last Wednesday, December 13, 2023, the Al-Jazeera Arts Center, affiliated with the Fine Arts Sector, witnessed the launch of the artist Ikram Mohamed Omar’s exhibition, entitled “Hawadit Mansooga men Hareer”, which translates to “Hawadeet Woven from Silk.”

The exhibition includes a collection of the artist’s works from the ’60s to the present day, with different materials created by the artist in her own innovative style, in addition to works by some of her students.

Moreover, the exhibition event will include a special symposium about the artist on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.

Born in 1940, Ikram Muhammad Omar from Hadayek al-Qubba is an artist who wove her life between the threads of creativity and the colors of art.

The acclaimed artist joined the Faculty of Fine Arts, Cairo University, Department of Decoration in 1958, graduated from the Rome Higher Academy of Fine Arts, and obtained a Magna cum Laude degree in 1966.
