On Wednesday 22 May, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, received Dr. Fadia Kiwan, Director General of the Organization of Arab Women (AWO) at the headquarter of the Arab League General Secretariat, where she took the oath of her new position before His Excellency.
During the meeting, they discussed the required steps for ensuring Arab women’s advancement, especially amid the current status quo of the Arab region. She also presented the organization’s working plan and projects to promote women empowerment at various sectors.
