Minister of International Cooperation, Dr. Rania Al Mashat, recently arrived at the headquarters of the National Training Academy to participate in personal interviews to accept the first batch of the “Women Lead for Executives” program, where several ministers, experts, and senior public figures participate in the interview committees, in addition to members of the Academy’s Board of Trustees.

Commenting on her participation in the selection process, Al Mashat told Extra News: This great program qualifies many female applicants to occupy these positions in a highly scientific and practical manner.

She continued: I am overjoyed to participate in the program and proud of the female applicants, especially since we have seen models from different sectors, whether bankers, university professors, or doctors, and this indicates that there is interest from women from different sectors to be in executive positions.

Among the conditions for applying to the program are that the applicant must be an Egyptian citizen, residing in Egypt, works in the public or private sector or self-employed, aged between 22-50 years, and that she obtains a TOEFL certificate with a grade of no less than (450) degrees, or an IELTS certificate with a grade of not less than (4 or 5) to be delivered before the program starts, and also the completion of the registration form.

Applicants go through several stages for admission to the program, namely, applying and registering electronically, then going through a thorough selection process of applicants who meet the conditions, followed by conducting and passing a personal interview, and finally sending an e-mail to applicants upon admission.

The training typically lasts ten months (223 training days), divided into nine months at the academy’s headquarters and one month of field training within the governmental or private sectors.

During the training, the Academy focuses on applying an efficient training curriculum and strategy based on interactive learning, which includes giving lectures, holding workshops, and conducting case studies, discussions, and field training.

The program strongly seeks to prepare Egyptian women for executive positions in various institutions in the governmental and private sectors by developing their skills, capabilities, and competencies and also preparing them for executive leadership in various sectors, according to the country’s vision in the development and empowerment of women, and in line with the goals of sustainable development of the United Nations.

Moreover, it aims to develop women’s skills and invest in their training through an integrated package of theoretical and practical programs to give them real opportunities to participate and influence in executive and leading positions.

The cooperation minister affirmed that Egypt has witnessed many legislations changes during the last period, owing to the inclusion of Egyptian women in executive leadership positions and that the “Women Lead for Executives” program helps implement the strategy of empowering and qualifying women aspiring to become leading idols.

Notably, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued a presidential decree to establish the National Training Academy in August 2017 to be the center of development and learning in Egypt, the beacon of development, and the locomotive of human development and renaissance with science and knowledge, at the local, regional and international levels.
