Life Makers Foundation and Save the Children Sign Strategic Partnership to Advance Child Rights in Egypt

Catalyzing humanitarian and development work in Egypt, Life Makers Foundation and Save the Children- Egypt have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening the protection and empowerment of children across the country.

The agreement sets the framework for long-term cooperation grounded in transparency, accountability, and a shared commitment to upholding child rights. Through this partnership, both organizations seek to expand children’s access to essential services, with a particular focus on education, healthcare, child protection, and psychosocial support, while also collaborating on broader humanitarian and sustainable development initiatives.

The signing ceremony was attended by Amb. Nabila Makram, Head of the Technical Secretariat of the National Alliance for Civil action, underscoring the importance of civil society partnerships in advancing national development priorities. Also present was Maj.  Gen. Mohsen El Noman, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Life Makers Foundation.

The MoU was officially signed by Eng. Ahmed Moussa, Chief Executive Officer of Life Makers Foundation, and Ms. Eman Shaaban, Partnerships Director at Save the Children International.

A Shared Vision for Children’s Well-Being

The partnership reflects a shared vision to place children at the center of humanitarian action, ensuring that responses are inclusive, effective, and tailored to the needs of the most vulnerable groups in Egyptian society. By combining Life Makers Foundation’s strong local presence and community-based experience with Save the Children’s global expertise and technical standards, the collaboration aims to deliver greater impact on the ground.

Officials from both organizations emphasized that the agreement will facilitate the exchange of knowledge, best practices, and resources, enabling more coordinated and sustainable interventions.

Strengthening Civil Society Collaboration in Egypt

The MoU comes at a time when Egypt is placing increased emphasis on partnerships between national and international organizations to enhance social protection, human development, and community resilience. By aligning efforts under a clear framework, Life Makers Foundation and Save the Children aim to contribute to more resilient systems that safeguard children’s rights and promote their long-term well-being.

As both organizations move forward with implementation, the partnership is seen as a model for effective collaboration in the humanitarian sector—one that prioritizes accountability, shared responsibility, and measurable outcomes for children across Egypt.
