Quarter-final action at the QTerminals Qatar Classic 2025 roared into life on Wednesday at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex, as Egypt’s squash stars stamped their dominance on the Platinum-level event with a clean sweep into the semi-finals.
Led by World No.2 Hania El Hammamy, four of Egypt’s elite players — including rising star Amina Orfi — booked their places in the final four with commanding performances in both the men’s and women’s draws.
El Hammamy, Orfi Set Up Egyptian Open Final Rematch
In the women’s draw, Hania El Hammamy continued her impressive form by easing past Malaysia’s Sivasangari Subramaniam in straight games (11-7, 11-8, 11-6). The win puts the 25-year-old into her third consecutive Qatar Classic semi-final.
She will face Amina Orfi, who dominated fellow Malaysian Aira Azman (11-4, 11-4, 11-9) to advance to her first-ever semi-final in Doha.
The all-Egyptian semi-final between El Hammamy and Orfi is a rematch of the Egyptian Open final held earlier this month, where El Hammamy emerged victorious.
