Majid Al Futtaim has unveiled its latest Supeco store in Egypt’s Fayoum Governorate, marking a significant investment of over EGP 36 million. Spanning 1,760 square meters, the store is set to serve the local community with 3,500 products, including fresh, frozen, and canned food, as well as household items and home appliances.
With the support of 120 local suppliers, the new Supeco store ensures steady supply chains and reliable stock availability, contributing to Majid Al Futtaim’s commitment to driving economic growth. The store also creates 175 direct and indirect job opportunities, fostering community development and reinforcing the company’s dedication to Egypt’s Vision 2030.
According to Mohamed Khafaga, Country Manager of Majid Al Futtaim Retail in Egypt, this launch is part of the company’s broader strategy to expand Supeco’s footprint, particularly in Egypt’s Delta and Upper Egypt regions. “Our goal is not just to grow our presence but also to enhance food security and stabilize prices through sustainable supply chains,” Khafaga remarked.
Currently, Majid Al Futtaim operates 13 Supeco stores in Cairo, Alexandria, Fayoum, and Sharqia. With a forward-looking strategy, the company plans to expand the Supeco network to 140 stores by 2030, aligning with Egypt’s long-term economic vision.
