Yesterday, Emine Erdogan, the first lady of Turkey, called Egyptian First Lady Entissar El-Sisi to talk about humanitarian aid to Gaza and collaboration on women’s, youth’s, and children’s empowerment.
Both Presidents Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey emphasized the urgency of ending Israel’s ongoing military operations and bombing of the Gaza Strip.
In a meeting on Saturday on the fringes of the Joint Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh, the two leaders stated that this is intended to prevent further harm and deaths to civilians as well as further worsening of the humanitarian conditions of the people of the Gaza Strip.
Sisi and Erdogan discussed the ceaseless efforts being made at every level to control the situation and its effects on humanitarian aid.
The two leaders also concurred that Egypt must maintain its vital role in providing humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip’s residents.
They emphasized the need for coordinated international efforts to advance the creation of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital and the implementation of the two-state solution.
