Egypt’s Food Exports Up to $665 M in First 2 Months of 2023

The Food Export Council (FEC) said Today, March 29, that the food industry sector’s exports increased by 3% in the first two months of the current year to reach $665 M compared to $645 M during the same period in 2022.

According to a monthly report issued by the FEC, the January 2023 exports reached $330 M, with an increase of 8%, compared to the same period in 2022, as it stood at $306 M.

As for the value of exports in February 2023, the report stated that it reached almost $335 M, with a decline of 0.1%, compared to $339 M during the same period in 2022.

The value of food industry exports to Arab countries reached $368 M in the first two months of 2023, with a 5% decline, representing 55% of the total food exports, according to the report.

The report also mentioned that Saudi Arabia ranked first on the list of importers of food from Egypt in 2023, for its total imports amounted to $69 M, with an increase of 13%.
