Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nahdet Misr Publishing House, Dalia Ibrahim, spoke about her recent second-place win in the world as the first Arab and African woman to achieve the AMBA and BGA Award in the Distinguished Leadership category 2022/2023.
She said she was chosen by the American University in Egypt, as the only candidate from the university, then by the MBA Association and the Business Administration Alumni Association among the five finalists worldwide last September. The final result was announced in December in London; she secured 2nd Place.
Ibrahim continued that the award aims at excellence in leadership and honoring graduates of business administration schools accredited by the MBA Association who left an impact on the business world after graduation and celebrated their achievements, work, and performance in this field.
She told “El Youm 7” that she received the award at a ceremony held in London, where both the MBA and the Business Administration Alumni Associations honored the winners of excellence awards in nine categories, which included: Student of the Year in MBA, Distinguished Leadership, Best Emerging Company, Best Entrepreneur, Best Innovation Strategy, Best Lifelong Learning Initiative, Best Business School Partnership, Best Culture, Diversity and Inclusion Initiative, and Best Social Responsibility and Sustainability Initiative.
Besides receiving various scholarly degrees, Dalia was also selected among the 50 most influential women in business enterprises in 2017 during the celebration annually organized by Amwal Al-Ghad magazine under the auspices of the Prime Minister.
In 2020, Dalia Ibrahim won the “Arab Women and Social Responsibility” award from the Arab Council for Social Responsibility under the auspices of the League of Arab States. Moreover, Dalia was selected among the three best women and entrepreneurs in Africa in the “Lifetime Achievements” category at the African Women’s Forum for Innovation and Entrepreneurship held in Cairo last September.
