Banque Misr and the National Bank of Egypt have just announced that they are issuing a new certificate of deposit with a fixed annual interest rate of 25%. According to “Akhbar El-Yom,” this certificate has a validity of one year and will be paid off yearly.
The 25% certificates are offered at all branches of both banks across the country, and are available online as well. The banks also confirmed that the annual return rate of the certificate can be adjusted to 22.50% upon request in case of monthly payment.
