The Minister of Youth Honored Jihad Ahmed “The Egyptian Student Won Third Place in a World Robot Competition 2022”

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, honored Jihad Ahmed, an Egyptian student who won third place in the world robot competition “Robocup Asia Pacific” which was held at the Faculty of Computing and Artificial Intelligence in Hurghada, after winning the first place in Egypt national championship.

The minister stated that honoring and supporting outstanding, talented, and creative youth in various fields is a priority so that they can be role models for other young people. He added stating he is invested in making sure all the Egyptian youth take part in the different international competitions, representing Egypt worldwide, adding that the ministry of youth and sports thanks all the initiative-taking and outstanding youth.

Jihad is one of the bright students of El Maragha center in Sohag, and she studies at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, South Valley University, and she was nominated by her university to join in the field of robotics representing Egypt in this world competition; joined by 42 countries from around the world with a total of 170 participants, during the 24th and 25th of February.
