Sustainability and corporate social responsibility leader Lamise Ali Negm has been appointed Economic Investment Expert at the Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority (EGIPA), marking a significant step in strengthening the economic value of intellectual property and supporting Egypt’s transition toward a knowledge-based economy.
The appointment was announced by Dr. Hisham Azmy, Chairman of the Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority, as part of the Authority’s strategy to leverage national expertise capable of connecting intellectual property with investment, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic development.

More Than Three Decades of Leadership in Banking and Sustainable Development
Lamise Negm brings more than 35 years of professional experience across the banking, financial, and development sectors. Throughout her distinguished career, she has held several senior executive and advisory positions, including Advisor to the Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) and Corporate Social Responsibility Advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt.
Since 2020, she has also served as Chair of the Sustainable Development Committee at the Federation of Egyptian Banks, where she has played a leading role in advancing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, financial inclusion, and responsible banking initiatives.
Extensive Experience in Egypt’s Banking Sector
Negm began her banking career at the Credit and Commerce International Bank before joining Citibank Egypt in 1993. During her tenure, she advanced through several leadership positions, ultimately serving as Vice President for Government Relations.
Throughout her career, she has contributed to the development of institutional and community initiatives focused on financial inclusion, sustainable economic development, and social responsibility, helping strengthen collaboration between financial institutions and development partners.
