Huawei, NCW Launch “Women in Tech” Initiative

Earlier today, the National Council for Women (NCW) launched the “Women in Technology” initiative in partnership with Huawei, a leading provider of information and communications technology solutions.

Huawei’s “Women in Tech” initiative aims to share some of the stories of great female employees and to increase the visibility of gender equality issues.

In a statement, NCW Chairperson Maya Morsi lauded the partnership with Huawei company in the field of information technology and communications.

Morsi stressed the importance of empowering women in the ICT sector in Egypt, which contributes to raising awareness of enhancing tech opportunities for women.

Maben, the Director of the Public Affairs and Communications Department, Huawei Egypt, asserted the company’s interest in empowering women in the ICT sector and stimulating their participation in the digital economy.

The initiative aims to explore the social value of technologies, using the internet and digital technologies to improve women’s well-being.
