Egypt’s Foreign Minister and COP27 President Designate, H.E. Sameh Shoukry, announced Omnia El-Omrani as the official youth envoy for the 2022 UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) scheduled to be held in Sharm El-Sheikh city in November. Dr. Omnia El-Omrani has been showing her ongoing efforts with regard to climate action and worked closely with several international organizations: UNFCCC, World Health Organization, and UNICEF.
Dr. Omnia El-Omrani’s work will mainly be responsible for promoting the engagement of the youth in Egypt and worldwide in international climate action to ensure that their voices will be heard during the current and coming stages of organizing COP 27.
