Egyptian Stock Exchange Honors Dina Abdel Fattah on International Women’s Day

Celebrating International Women’s Day this year, the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) has on Wednesday honored Dina Abdel Fattah, board member of the United Media Services (UMS), among 25 key exceptional women leaders.

In a grand award ceremony, the EGX has celebrated 26 key woman leaders in areas of money and business, economy, and media as part of its efforts to continue its mission of supporting women calibers and advocating for greater representation of female voices in wider fields.

The honorees received their awards from EGX chairman Ramy El-Dokany in the presence of several key female business community figures, leaders of non-banking financial institutions in Egypt, board members of the EGX, the Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), Misr for Central Clearing, Depository and Registry (MCDR), the Investor Protection Fund, and Egypt for Information Dissemination (EGID).

Abdel Fattah expressed her appreciation to receive this special recognition, saying that President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has always supported the empowerment of Egyptian women economically and socially, given the fact that current women representation in the Cabinet.

She added: Today’s honoring reflects the Egyptian Stock Exchange’s awareness and efforts towards promoting gender equality and supporting women’s active representation in the decision-making process.

With more than 30 years of experience in the media industry, Abdel Fattah is one of the most esteemed local TV and Radio presenters in Egypt. She is Editor-in-Chief of Amwal Al Ghad and president of Excellent Communications, both affiliated with the Egyptian United Media Services (UMS), as well as founder of the Top 50 Women Forum.

Notably, Abdel Fattah graduated from Cairo University in 1986 with a degree in Mass Communication and Journalism; and obtained a Master’s degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from the American University in Cairo. She holds the Corporate Directors Certification offered by the World International Finance Corporation (IFC), along with the Egyptian Institute of Directors affiliated with the Financial Regulatory Authority.
