Egyptian Eng. Rania Amin El-Ghabashi Wins Stevie Award for Women in Business

Rania Amin El-Ghabashi, a 30-year-old mechanical engineer from Monofia, is the first and youngest Egyptian, African, and Arab woman to win the Stevie Award for Women in Business in the Automotive Industry category. El-Ghabashi, who works for General Motors Egypt, was one of 1,500 engineers from around the world who competed for the prestigious award.

El-Ghabashi’s work focuses on localizing the automotive industry, developing local car parts, and reverse engineering. Despite her education at a public university in Egypt, she has managed to surpass graduates of top universities such as Harvard and MIT.

El Ghabbashi is a graduate of Monufiya University in Egypt. She is passionate about promoting STEM education for girls and young women. The obstacles she faces” and her “inspiring energy and determination make her a great role model for all women.” El-Ghabashi is a shining role model with hard work and determination. She is an inspiration to women and young people everywhere.
