According to the Armed Forces Spokesman Colonel Gharib Abdel-Hafez, the Egyptian Air Forces, in collaboration with Jordan, UAE, Qatar, and France, executed an airdrop of humanitarian aid, comprising food and medical assistance, over the Gaza Strip on Tuesday. This joint effort was aimed at providing much-needed aid to the people of Gaza and relieving their suffering.

Egypt’s first airdrop of humanitarian aid operation in the Gaza strip since the onset of the Israeli aggression and blockade on October 7th was carried out on this Tuesday. Gharib Abdel Hafez added that 50 tons of aid were successfully dropped on the northern and central regions of Gaza.

The Royal Jordanian Air Force conducted airdrop operations to provide relief and food aid to Gaza. Joining the efforts, Jordanian King Abdullah II also participated in the operations to demonstrate Jordan’s continuous support towards the Palestinian community. The King’s contribution signifies the nation’s commitment to providing aid to the people of Gaza by all possible means.

According to the official statement, six C-130 aircraft were dispatched from the capital city of Amman, comprising three Royal Jordanian Air Force planes and three others from the UAE, Egypt, and France. This humanitarian aid operation is aimed at providing assistance to the people of Gaza, with the active participation of several friendly nations.

Egypt also has recently established a second refugee camp in Khan Yunis of Gaza Strip, providing 400 tents that can accommodate up to 4,000 individuals. The camp is well-equipped with power supply and toilets to ensure basic living standards for the occupants.

Additionally, plans are underway to establish another camp north of Deir al-Balah, and an Egyptian field hospital will be established in Rafah. Two centers for aid distribution will also be set up to provide further assistance to those in need. These initiatives demonstrate the commitment of the Egyptian government to assist the displaced population in the Gaza Strip and provide them with the necessary support during these challenging times.
