Egypt’s First Lady Honors Leading Women at Annual “Egyptian Woman… Icon of Success” Celebration

Egypt’s First Lady Entissar El-Sisi presided over the annual “Egyptian Woman… Icon of Success” celebration, recognizing a distinguished group of Egyptian women for their leadership, achievements, and contributions across multiple sectors. The event, held in conjunction with International Women’s Day, underscores national efforts to celebrate female excellence and promote women’s roles in social, cultural, and professional life.

During the ceremony, El-Sisi highlighted the honorees as “inspiring models whose accomplishments reflect determination, creativity, and a strong commitment to serving society.”

This year’s honorees included athletes Ayat Ahmed Said and Safa Suleiman Kadry; Judge Mona Ibrahim; legal consultant Irene Magdy Ziada; Captain Pilot Nevin Mahmoud Darwish; and professionals including Asmaa El-Degwy, Amira Essam Bassiouni, Nora Mohamed Ahmed, Sara Aziz, Dr. Ghada Mohamed Amer, visual artist Nazly Mokhtar, Dr. Ghada Farouk, Dr. Amal Emam, Mai Mohamed Hosny, and Dr. Noha El-Sandali.

The honorees represent achievements across sports, law, aviation, academia, arts, and social development, reflecting the expanding influence of Egyptian women in both traditional and emerging fields. The celebration highlights their contributions as role models for younger generations and reinforces the national agenda to promote women’s participation in leadership and professional spheres.
