Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation has announced the appointment of Dr. Hala El-Said, the former Minister of Planning and Economic Development and the current Economic Advisor to the President of Egypt, as a new member of its Board of Trustees. Dr. El-Said’s acceptance of the invitation from the Foundation’s Chairman comes as a major boost to the organization’s mission to advance heart health and expand its impact across Egypt and beyond.
Dr. Hala El-Said has a distinguished career in both public service and academia, having previously led Egypt’s Vision 2030 and held leadership positions at the Central Bank of Egypt. Additionally, she was at the helm of the Egypt Sovereign Fund and served as an influential academic leader at Cairo University.
