Microsoft’s Mirna Arif Honored at Forbes Middle East Women’s Summit

Mirna Arif, General Manager at Microsoft, received accolades at the conclusion of the recent Forbes Middle East Women’s Summit 2024 in Riyadh. H.H. Princess Doaa Bint Mohammed, CEO of Al Mohra Education Company, and Khuloud Al Omian, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Middle East, presented Arif with the honor.

Arif brings over 22 years of experience to her role at Microsoft. She has held leadership positions in both multinational organizations and public sector entities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Arif is a strong advocate for empathy-based management and youth training. She is currently spearheading efforts to expand Microsoft’s digital footprint in Egypt, accelerating the country’s transition to a digital economy.

A Distinguished Career

Prior to her current role, Arif held key positions at Microsoft, including Surface Business Group Director for the Middle East and Africa. She also served as Regional Director for Digital Transformation at GE Oil & Gas, where she led digital transformation strategies in North Africa and Turkey. Furthermore, Arif served as Assistant Minister for Investment and International Cooperation at the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, where she provided strategic guidance on the development and implementation of the petroleum sector.

Beyond Microsoft

Arif’s impact extends beyond her role at Microsoft. She actively serves on the boards of several prominent organizations, including Banque Misr, Rameda Pharma, and the Knowledge Hub Education. Additionally, she is a board member of the Egypt Chamber of Information Technology and co-chairs the Digital Transformation Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt.
