Second Edition of Cairo Sustainable Energy Week Commences

The second edition of Cairo Sustainable Energy Week (CSEW) commenced on Tuesday, with the support of Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Abul Gheit and Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mahmoud Esmat.

The three-day event is organized by the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE).

Key figures such as Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad, AL Assistant Secretary General Hossam Zaki, Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) Nasser Kamel, the Chairman of the RCREEE’s Board of Trustees, and Kuwaiti representative Ahmed al Dossari were present at the opening session.

CSEW will host over 30 dialogue sessions with 150 speakers, including decision-makers, policymakers, energy planners, resource managers, network operators, industrialists, investors, and experts.

According to SIS website these sessions serve as an excellent platform for sharing ideas and perspectives on achieving a sustainable energy transition in Egypt and the wider Arab region.

CSEW facilitates discussions on the current energy landscape, covering topics such as robust energy systems, resource management, sustainable infrastructure, energy efficiency, low-carbon technologies, and the widespread adoption of renewable energy in the MENA region.
