Nine Days Holiday Leave of Eid al-Fitr for Government and Private employees, Banks, and Schools in Egypt

The majority of employees in Egypt are searching during the coming period for the dates of the blessed Eid al-Fitr holidays, which falls on April 21, in addition to Sham al-Nessim, which falls on Monday, April 17, and the Sinai Liberation Day, which falls on the 25th of the same month.

It is assumed that the Sinai Liberation Day leave will be carried over from Tuesday, April 25, to Thursday, 4-27-2023, so that employees in Egypt will have nearly a week’s leave during Eid Al-Fitr, starting from Friday, April 21, until Saturday, 29th of the same month, provided they return to work at the end of the current month on 4-30-2023.

It is expected that the blessed Eid Al-Fitr holiday in 2023 will be 7 days, starting from Friday, April 21, until Thursday, the 26th.

Official holidays during the holy month of Ramadan (weekly holiday):

  • Friday, April 7th.
  • Saturday, April 8th.
  • Monday, April 17th, corresponding to Ramadan 26th, Sham El-Nessim holiday 2023.
  • Friday, April 21st.
  • Sinai Liberation Day on April 25th, which falls on Tuesday, will be moved to Thursday.
