Zara campaign 2023 Faces Backlash After Gaza Genocide Resemblance

Calls for boycotting Zara raised after Zara launched a new controversial campaign, featuring imitation body bags and rubble.  The Spanish clothing retailer, Zara, released its latest ad campaign ‘The Jacket’, in which the model Kristen McMenamy is seen posing with mannequins wrapped in white cloth and plastic. The campaign is sparking public outrage due to its similarity with the Gaza genocide.

In the ad campaign, a series of images featuring the studded jacket, the only photograph that remains online is a close-up of the garment.  The release of its latest ad campaign triggered a wave of anger on social media for its insensitivity. However, Zara has not responded yet to the backlash.
