Sisi directs govt to develop Giza Zoo to match world-class peers

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed the government to implement a project aimed at developing Giza Zoo to be similar to its world-class peers.

Sisi’s directives came during his meeting on Tuesday 3/1/2023 with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, Agriculture Minister El Sayed El Quseir, Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah el Din and Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Major General Ahmed Al Azazy, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.
The spokesman noted the president was briefed on the blueprint for renovating the zoo, through preserving its ancient and historical buildings and increasing its green spaces, as well as establishing commercial and recreational areas.
The meeting took up the proposals on the operation and management of the zoo, while connecting it to the Orman Garden to serve as a single park that is rich in animal and botanical diversity.
