President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi chaired a meeting of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) on Monday 17, said presidential spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.
President El-Sisi chaired the SCAF meeting, he said: We are ready to contribute to restoring stability in Sudan. It is important to sit at the negotiating table in Sudan.
He added: We seek to keep the situation in Sudan from escalating. Egypt’s situation is firm in not interfering in the affairs of states, and Egyptian politics is characterized by balance.
The president concluded: We emphasize the need for the security and safety of our forces in Sudan.
