PM stresses Egypt’s Support for Development Efforts in Iraq

According to Egypt today, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli stressed Egypt’s support for all efforts to achieve development and stability in Iraq.

 

Madbouli’s remarks came during his meeting on Thursday with Iraqi Ambassador in Cairo Ahmed Nayef Al-Delimi.

 

The premier called for increased efforts to implement the agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) signed between the two countries, as well as accelerated cooperation on Egyptian companies’ participation in the Iraq reconstruction process.

 

On his part, the Iraqi ambassador briefed the prime minister on the current preparations for holding the meetings of the Egyptian-Iraqi Joint Higher Committee.

 

Delimi stated that the Iraqi government will work in the coming months to establish new mechanisms to increase the involvement of Egyptian companies in Iraq’s reconstruction process.
