
PM chairs meeting on Digital Career Guidance Platform
Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouli, presided over a meeting to review the ultimate goals of the digital platform on career guidance for university students.
The meeting was held on Thursday in the presence of the Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister. Ayman Ashour, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning- Ayman Farid, Representative from the International Labor Organization (ILO), Nael Nabil, and Executive Director, Karam Marwan.
During the meeting, the minister said that the launch of the digital platform came as part of the Higher Education for Vocational Guidance for Employment program, said Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad.
Through this program, the ministry serves development issues in society and promotes cooperation between universities and the labor market by supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, added the spokesman.
The meeting also shed light on the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, said the spokesman, noting that it focuses on seven main axes, including integration, interdisciplinary, communication, effective participation, sustainability, international reference, pioneering, and creativity.
The strategy mainly focuses on attaining the effective role of the Higher Education Ministry in supporting development in the various economic, social, urban, and environmental domains, said the spokesman.
The meeting also referred to the ministry’s program, which aims to link students to the labor market’s requirements through holding several activities, added the spokesman.
