NCW to Establish Museum of Egyptian Women

The National Council for Women, headed by Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the Council, conducted its periodic meeting in the presence of all female and male members.

The meeting discussed the budget of the National Council for Women for the year 2023-2024.

Furthermore, Dr. Maya Morsi announced the Council’s initiative to establish a “Museum of Egyptian Women”, aimed at preserving the heritage of Egyptian women and the formation of a committee composed of some members of the Council and the General Secretariat to follow up on that.

During the meeting, Morsi also expressed her great joy that Egypt assumed the presidency of the work of the regional network to support equality and equal opportunities between the sexes and women’s access to leadership positions in the public sector, succeeding the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, stressing that Egypt is striving to establish the principle of gender equality in the public sector to enhance women’s access to leadership positions and knowledge exchange in the field of gender equality.

In addition, the president of the Council underlined the importance of defining what intellectual property is, explaining the Council’s efforts to raise awareness of this important issue.
