Mashat: Egypt is Open to Boosting South-South Cooperation

According to Rania Al-Mashat, Egypt is open to boosting south-south cooperation to support developing countries and emerging economies.

The Ministry of International Cooperation has worked with such organizations as the UN Development Program and the World Food Program for south-south cooperation and to apply Egyptian expertise to development elsewhere.

These statements by Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashaat came during her meeting with a delegation from Argentina led by Minister of Health Carla Vizzotti for cooperation talks.

Egypt joined the newly-established Development Bank of the BRICS bloc to explore further economic cooperation and promote development.

Argentinian Ambassador in Cairo Eduardo Antonio Varela, who was also at the meeting, said the coming stage will witness more visits to Egypt by Argentinian economic, political, and trade delegations to business people and investors to look into cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries.

The Argentinian delegation expressed keenness for cooperation between the private sectors of both countries to support investment, noting progress in oil, gas, and energy domains in Argentina.
