The National Council for Women is launching the second phase of the national initiative, the “Dawy” story circles, in cooperation with UNICEF, in the governorates (Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Alexandria, Damietta, and Sharqiyah), during the period from February 19 to March 22, 2023.
The inauguration comes within the framework and efforts of the Council in the national initiative “Dawy” circles sponsored by Mrs. Entissar El-Sisi, and within the national project for the development of the Egyptian family.
It is noteworthy that the national initiative “Dawa” aims to motivate girls to express their opinions, hopes, and fears, in addition to sharing stories and experiences and building on them to empower them within their communities.
Director General of the General Administration of Program Planning, Isis Mahmoud, confirmed that the second phase includes training many female facilitators on how to manage dialogue in story circles, organizing story circles for some girls in the targeted governorates, followed by organizing the generational dialogue and watching clubs in several schools in those governorates.
