In a gesture underscoring the enduring bond between Egypt’s leadership and its security institutions, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended the wedding ceremony of the daughter of the late police Brigadier Malek Mahran, who was killed in the line of duty in 2013 during operations in Beni Suef.

The president’s attendance, warmly received by guests and family members alike, served as a powerful symbol of respect and national gratitude toward those who have given their lives in service to the country.

Brigadier Mahran, a respected officer in Egypt’s police force, lost his life in the line of duty at a time of heightened security challenges. More than a decade later, the presence of the head of state at his daughter’s special occasion sent a clear message of enduring solidarity with the families of Egypt’s fallen heroes.

This moment reflects the deep appreciation our country holds for its defenders—those who have laid down their lives for the peace, stability, and unity of Egypt.

President El-Sisi has consistently emphasized the importance of honoring the memory and sacrifices of Egypt’s Armed Forces and police personnel. His appearance at the ceremony aligns with ongoing national efforts to support the families of martyrs, not just through institutional mechanisms but also through personal gestures of inclusion and remembrance.
