NCW Holds Its Periodic Meeting Chaired by Dr. Susan Al-Qalini

The National Council for Women’s Media Committee recently held its periodic meeting, chaired by Dr. Susan Al-Qalini, member of the council and rapporteur of the committee, in the presence of female and male committee members.

Al-Qalini expressed her happiness for the keenness of drama and media personalities to address women’s issues during Ramadan Race 2023. Moreover, she stressed the importance of the annual monitoring report submitted by the Council’s Media Committee over eight years, which includes monitoring, following up, and analyzing the dramatic and programmatic content, advertisements, and social networking sites, in terms of dealing with women’s issues, and the extent to which works are compatible with the media code, which the committee began in 2016.

Dr. Susan also went on to thank all media professionals, media professors in Egyptian universities, and volunteer students from all departments of media faculties who participated in the process of monitoring the image of women in serials, advertisements, social networking sites, platforms, and programs presented on television and radio during Ramadan.

After finishing their discussions at the periodic meeting, the members of the Media Monitoring Committee were honored, and students of the Monitoring Committee from both genders received certificates of appreciation.
