The National Council for Women has launched the “Learn, Save and Earn” initiative in Al Asmarat as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the economic empowerment of women and girls in Egypt.
The initiative focuses on providing vocational training opportunities in several practical professions, including plumbing, carpentry, and painting, helping participants gain valuable professional skills and access new income opportunities.
A total of 45 women and girls are participating in the program, with 15 trainees enrolled in each specialization. The initiative aims to enhance technical skills, encourage financial independence, and contribute to improving the economic conditions of participating families.
Beyond vocational training, the program also seeks to challenge traditional stereotypes surrounding certain professions and encourage women to confidently pursue careers in fields that have historically been considered male-dominated.
The National Council for Women emphasized that the initiative reflects broader national efforts to support women’s active participation in society and create sustainable opportunities for economic growth and self-reliance.
