The Women Committee at the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate, headed by Eman Ouf, has announced the launch of a new theater team for the children of journalists as part of its summer activities and educational programs.
The initiative comes following the end of the academic year and aims to provide children with a creative environment that supports talent development, self-expression, and artistic learning. The theater program will be supervised by renowned director and acting coach Mohamed Abdallah, who has received numerous awards in acting and theater directing throughout his career.
According to the committee, the goal is to produce a theatrical performance representing the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate through the participation of talented children from journalists’ families. The program is open to children between the ages of 6 and 16, with training sessions scheduled every Monday and Wednesday from 12 PM until 2 PM.
The committee also emphasized its commitment to inclusion and integration by welcoming children with special needs alongside children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) to participate in the training activities together.
Dedicated inclusive training groups will be held every Saturday from 12 PM until 2 PM to ensure a supportive and accessible environment for all participants. Registration will begin on June 1 through the syndicate’s first-floor administrative office and will continue for one week only. Official training schedules will be announced immediately afterward.
The Women Committee additionally revealed that it is currently preparing several other educational and summer activities that will be announced in the coming period as part of its broader efforts to support children’s creativity, learning, and social engagement.
