The Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Press Awards decided to re-add the “Women’s Journalism” and “Environmental Journalism” branches to the special awards branches after the success of the Board of Trustees, in cooperation with the Head of the Journalists Syndicate, in providing support for the two awards.

After reviewing the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Journalism Award, Mahmoud Kamel, a member of the Journalists Syndicate Council, stated that it was agreed to return the Women’s Journalism Award to the Egyptian Journalism Awards after the Syndicate issued details of the Egyptian Journalism Competition, which did not include the Women’s Award branch for this year.

Upon announcing the opening of applications for the Egyptian Journalism Award from today, January 16, until Wednesday, January 31st, Kamel disclosed in a statement on his official page that it was agreed to return the Women’s Journalism Award to the Egyptian Journalism Awards for this year, adding that preparations are currently underway to launch a separate award for environmental journalism.
