Health Ministry Organizes Scientific Workshops & Seminars for the “Women’s Health” Initiative

The Ministry of Health and Population organized a tour to the governorates of Qena and Luxor, within the framework of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s initiative to support Egyptian women’s health and within the activities of the “100 Days of Health” campaign, aiming to support the initiative’s work axes through a specialized training system.

The delegation included Dr. Tariq Saad, Advisor to the Minister for Automation of Oncology Centers, Dr. Hisham Al-Ghazali, Chairman of the National Committee for the Presidential Initiative to Support Women’s Health, Dr. Imad Khallaf, Dr. Nouran Hussein, Dr. Hatem Amin, Dr. Imad Shash, and Dr. Marwa Abdel Qader, members of the Executive Office and Scientific Committee of the initiative, Dr. Mohamed Fathi is a member of the mechanization follow-up team to support and implement the electronic database.

The official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, explained that the visit began with an inspection of the health unit in Al-Ummal City in Qena Governorate, where they passed through the rooms designated for screening and learned about the procedures for early detection of breast cancer, the medical services provided to those who frequent the unit, and the follow-up of awareness services and the regularity of work progress with the presidential initiative to support women’s health and early detection of breast cancer.

Earlier today, Abdul Ghaffar said in a statement that the tour included a visit to the Qena Oncology Center to learn about the surgical and therapeutic procedures provided to patients with breast tumors. A scientific symposium was also held to discuss some cases with service providers and to emphasize the importance of electronically recording patient data for patients, in addition to holding a scientific symposium to discuss some cases with service providers workshops in diagnostic and interventional radiology.

He continued that the team then went to Luxor Governorate to visit Shifa Al-Orman Hospital, where a meeting was held with the work team inside the hospital, headed by Dr. Hani Hussein, director of the hospital, to review the medical services provided, as the Presidential Initiative team praised the efforts made by the medical teams in serving patients.
