Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi congratulated Egyptian Karate heroine Giana Farouk on winning the deputy head of Women’s Sports Africa Network position on Saturday, July 20.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports, in a show of utmost confidence, nominated Farouk, and Sobhi praised her victory as a significant accomplishment, highlighting her proficiency and experience in local, continental, and international sports.
The minister emphasized the Egyptian state’s support for its sports heroes and stated that Farouk’s appointment reflects the country’s ongoing efforts to empower youth both domestically and internationally.
In response, Farouk expressed her commitment to improving women’s sports in Africa, increasing female participation across all sports, and elevating sports events in Africa to the highest standards.
