Female karate champions in Kafr El Shiekh Ranked the 2nd in the finals of The National Project for Women and Sport (NPWS)

Kafr El Shiekh’s female karate team won second place in the final tournament of the national project for women and sport (NPWS), which was hosted in Sharm El Shiekh during the period from  6 to 9 October, under the auspices of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and  Maj. Gen. Gamal Nour El-Dein, Kafr El Sheikh Governor.

The honorees who represented Kafr El Shiekh’s team were Shahd Ibrahim, Doha Essmat, Yomna Sami, ad their coach Nihal Abdel Hakim.

In this regard, 8 governorates took part in these tournaments, which are South Sinai, Alexandria, Suez, Kafr El Shiekh, Port Said, and Menoufia.  The officials who attended the event praised the winning teams, pursuing further support for female athletes in all sports. They also advised the players to look after 2020 Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Feryal Ashraf as a role model.
