The model COP 27 simulation for Cairo University students will kick off next Tuesday. The simulation model will be held by Cairo University in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, the National Anti-Corruption Academy, the National Management Institute (NMI), and USAID’s Economic Governance Activity (EGA). 153 international students from all the participating countries at the next COP 27 will attend MCOP 27.
The participants will simulate the proceedings of both COP 27 and COY 17 to address climate-related issues, on top of which is climate finance. The participants registered at the training by the end of last May and received expert workshops about climate action, environment, entrepreneurship, governance, gender equity, and strategic communication.
The simulation model will witness the attendance of Dr. Mohamed Othman El-Khosht, President of Cairo University, Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), and Leslie Reed, USAID Mission Director. An exhibition will be also held to showcase startup ideas and innovative solutions to address climate change.
