Following their victories in the US Open Championship for young men and women, the Egyptian Squash Federation and the champion U-17 and U-13 youth teams were congratulated by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports.
The Minister highly praised Egypt’s squash champions and also emphasized the need to continue supporting and caring for all of our heroes in sports, particularly squash, in order to preserve Egyptian sovereignty and the country’s leadership in the sport given its admission to the Olympic Games.
The winner of the championship was Ruqayya Salem and the US Open Squash Championship for youth under 17 was won by Marwan Assal. The bronze went to Adham Rushdie.
On his part, Ali Abdel Fattah emerged victorious in the US Open Youth Squash Championship under-13 division.
