Egypt’s exports of engineering industries rise to $3.8B in 2022

According to Egypt today, the Engineering Export Council of Egypt has reported a 10 percent increase in the exports of engineering industries in 2022 to reach $3.836 billion against $3.497 billion in 2021.

 

According to the EEC’s monthly report, the most prominent sectors whose exports increased in 2022 compared to the same period in 2021 are cables, which increased by 25.6 percent, car components, which increased by 13.8 percent, home appliances, which increased by 0.8 percent, and electrical and electronic industries, which increased by 18.4 percent.

 

The most important importers of Egypt’s engineering products are the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, Malta, and the Netherlands in Europe, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, and Oman in Asia, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Kenya, Ghana, and Côte d’Ivoire in Africa, and USA, Argentina, and Brazil in the Americas.
